1. Overview

Muon ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application, Muon — Sleep & Focus Sounds (the "App").

2. Data Collection

Muon does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App operates entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.

Specifically, we do NOT collect:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
Location data
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Health or medical data
Audio recordings from your device

3. Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs. No data is sent to any third-party service.

4. In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Purchase transactions are governed by Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

5. Data Storage

Your sound preferences, saved mixes, and purchase status are stored locally on your device only. They are not synced to any server. If you delete the App, this data will be permanently deleted. Purchase status can be restored via your Apple ID.

6. Children's Privacy

Muon is suitable for all ages (rated 4+) and contains no user-generated content features, social features, or interactive communication tools. While the App includes a "Baby Soothing" sound category, it does not collect any information from or about children.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through our App, please contact us and we will take immediate action.

7. Your Rights

7.1 GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
Right to Data Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.
Right to Object: Object to our processing of your personal data.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.

Since we do not collect any personal data, these rights are automatically satisfied. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Legal basis for processing: We do not process personal data. Any local data storage on your device is necessary for the App's core functionality (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

7.2 CCPA (California, USA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to Know: Request disclosure of what personal data is collected, used, or shared.
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data.
Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of personal data.
Right to Non-Discrimination: Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal data. Our App does not engage in any data practices that would require CCPA compliance beyond this disclosure.

7.3 Other Jurisdictions

Users in other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under local laws. We respect all applicable privacy laws and will respond to legitimate requests within the required timeframes.

8. Data Retention

We do not retain any personal data on our servers. All user preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you delete the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases. This service is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. No other third-party services are integrated.

10. Security

Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data, the risk of data breach is inherently minimal. We employ standard iOS security practices to protect locally stored data.

11. International Users

The App is available globally. Since no data is collected or transmitted, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
